From all the new beauty arrivals that I tried lately,
let me show which are the ones that are going to stick with me.
On the left: Perfect Canvas by REN Skincare does what it says, it’s a skin finishing serum that makes your skin a perfect canvas for make up (or not) and it’s silicon-free. You’ll love the texture. MAC Prep+Prime spray may be used before and after make up – I use it after, or during the day, when
I need to refresh my skin and smell its discreet rose scent. On the right: The new Gucci eau de toilette Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori, with notes of jasmin, tuberose and cassis buds.
I love micellar waters and this is the newest addition by Caudalie, with 98% (!) natural ingredients. From the “Enchanted” Essie collection, here’s Spellbound Gell Couture nail lacquer. Silver gold-platted cuff and earrings by Gregio.
I loved Jo Malone’s limited edition for this Spring, as it combines beauty with art.
Inspired by the carefreeness and the free spirit of the artists that consisted the Bloomsbury Set, this collection of scents captures the intoxicating essence of the unconventional life in the artists’ legendary country house in Sussex. The lily pond at dawn, bold blue hyacinth, absinthe afternoons and golden linseed on paint-stained hands. And look at that packaging. Definitely something I would like to have on my boudoir.
The 7-Coloured Powder Illuminator by Shiseido is a blush, a highlighter and a contouring palette all
in one -and look how pretty it is ?
The new Line Interception Duo by La Prairie is a miracle in a box: a Day & Night Cream Duo which
offers a botox effect in just two weeks and that -trust me- worth all its money.
And here’s a Gucci touch: The new Gucci Guilty Absolute perfume might be a men’s perfume but it includes a whimsical cocktail of all my favourite notes such as Leatherwood, Vetiver and Patchouli
so appealing I instantly fell for it.
The last couple of weeks have been hectic but hey, I got to visit so many places, attended quite a few launches and tried new products. Below you’ll find all my picks for the festive season and the new year,
that will brighten your days to follow.

Urban Decay arrived in Greece! The Nude3 is the new palette of their best-seller eyeshadows -just look at those colours!- while the must-haves in my opinion are the Eyeshadow Primer Potion and the Setting Spray, that keeps your make up untouched up to 12 hours (!).
Fuchsia matte lipstick “Menace”. Waterproof eye pencil “Psychedelic Sister”.
The entire Winter collection of Essie has everything, from bloody red to sparkling gold. Kiehls iconic creme de corps in a limited edition packaging designed by Brooklyn-based artist Jeremyville.

Can you tell the real shoe?
The shoe on the bottom is the Carolina Herrera “Good Girl” fragrance. The shoe on the top is my favourite satin Dior sandals with pink metallic band. And I can wear both at the same time. Heels for life!
Complementing the unique White Amaryllis signature of Dolce & Gabbana, “Dolce Rosa Excelsa” joins the Dolce Garden. Capturing the boldness and pure spirit of the multifaceted Rose flower, the scent opens with a sweet explosion of Neroli leaves and Papaya flower, while the heart is based in two delicate Rose notes.
Used for the first time in parfumerie, the African Dog Rose premieres in this creation, combined with the femininity of the Turkish Rose Absolute. In the background warm Musky notes leave a sensual train of earthy tones and piquant spices.
“This is what my dreams smell like I make personal and immediate perfumes Deceptively playful Rooted in the unconscious Perplexing the senses Like kaleidoscopic explosions of beauty They can blow you away”. Spyros Drossopoulos
They are greek and they are the very first premium extraits de parfum.
Perfumer Spyros Drossopoulos, a lover of scents from a very young age, believes that one’s aroma has a special effect on how one is perceived. “Baruti” is his series of deluxe perfumes, with depth and sentiment. “Indigo” emulates the radiating blue summer skies with notes of mastic oil from Chios, hyacinth, rose from Greece, sandalwood, nooud and amber, while “Melkmeisje”, inspired by Johannes Vermeer’s famous painting “The milkmaid” is a very dutch affair, with notes of pear, lilac, Linden blossom, honey, orris root, vanilla, vetiver, sandalwood and musk. “Chai” brings in mind a delicious Indian masala chai, with notes of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom, pepper, black tea steamed tea and leather.
If you’re a scent junkie like myself you may lose track of time discovering all the Barutiperfumes at Eleni Marneri Gallery.
