“It’s blue!” That was the name of the collection that emerged from the collaboration of Maria Mastori Jewellery with i-D concept shop at Golden Hall. And blue it was indeed, in the most vivid, impressive hues one could imagine.
From cobalt to Yves Klein blue, here are my favorite pieces:
Composé
I got myself this H&M knitted top and midi skirt the other day and a couple of hours later I went for some made-to-order icecream at Magic Pleasure Store and THIS happened. When an outfit subconsciously overwhelms you so much
that you match your icecream with it. So yeah, this happened, and that’s me making a fuss out of it cause I love those stupid little details you know.
#Summer_Love
As you we enter day by day the summer makeup continuum, the truth is that there is a narrow window of success. Somewhere in the middle between a light make up that melts away after 30 minutes and a heavy one with powders that turn into mud,
is the goal—makeup that stays luminous and natural, as it should be. During our annual -and very refreshing indeed- appointment with Korres we explored the new formulas that will help us pull through the summer.
First of all, two of their best sellers, the facial sunscreens with yogurt and grape are renewed and now you can find their tinted version that apart from sun protection they offer a nicely sunkissed effect, moisturized and dewy.
Then you have “the Sea Flowers” bronzer contained in a very 80s compact design awash with pink, terracotta and shimmering white that looks like you’ve stolen it from your mom’s drawer -and you’re five again. That bronzer you can use both as a blush and a contouring essential, a product to replace many.
For those who their divine french perfume suddenly seems unbearable under the scorching greek sun, Korres launched a series of body splashes -Mango Candy, Apple Blossom, Coconut Sand, Summer Wood, you name it. I opted for Pure Cotton which smells like fresh crisp seeds.
Last but not least, to the nail colours collection were added the “Sea Flowers” in vivid hues.
Stefania Frangista Summer 2015
Stefania Frangista, the young girl that used to make pink hued teen bikinis grew up and matured through her designs and experience, and is here to present for Summer 2015 her most feminine work by now:
an elegant collection inspired by the island of Hydra in a charming color palette.
Here are my personal picks.
You make me love you with a little L
Down Under
Black triangle bra, nude brief, and a sheer lace skirt that I usually wear under long masculine jackets, mini skirts or oversized t-shirts, like this one here, all by Intimissimi Summer 2015 collection.
New Almond Blossom moisturizing face cream for normal to dry and sensitive skin by Korres, that offers constant dehydration and nutrition. Plus it smells of almond blossoms -have I said that already?
Callista Crafts
Callista bags are greek designed, handmade in Athens by fine italian leathers on a limited production every month
and bound to last for a lifetime. The dusty coloured totes look great
but look at that small bucket python bag ♡
Golden Rules
A week with plenty beauty arrivals just in time to welcome March.
Kérastase launched the new luxe series “Chronologiste”, introducing an innovative exfoliating rinse-out product for the first time.
“Soin Gommage Renovateur” is to be used prior to the shampoo and the rejuvenating hair mask for deep detox.
The procedure is completed with the “Parfum en Huile”, a scented hair oil conceived by the famous perfumer Alberto Morillas,
giving a shiny and silky look.
I performed the whole ritual -followed by a head and neck massage- at Andreas Coiffure, which left my hair
lightweight and glowing. However, if you prefer to enjoy the ritual at home, you can have an amazing outcome as well especially with a professional hair dryer and brush like the ones by Remington.
Giorgio Armani also launched the Summer 2015 collection consisting of an earthy eye shadow palette, a nude sparkly lipstick, a discreet shimmering powder and a bronze nail polish. In addition, the Armani Prive perfume series counts a new member, “Pivoine Suzhou”, inspired by the gardens of Asia and more specifically the Chinese peonies *eyeroll*
Last but not least, my newest nail lacquer obsession “All eyes on nude” belongs to the Cashmere Matte collection of Essie and it’s the absolute nude color.
DROMe as a dream
My latest love is the italian brand “DROMe” and the delicate way they use leather that looks soft and gentle as silk,
in a magnificent color palette that “is mimicking the delicate light of dusks, dawns and twilights”, in their own words.
