january blues

*sigh*

being a great opponent of winter and cold weather you may imagine how i feel those rainy, cloudy, freezing days of the most depressing month of the year. i could easily describe my status with the word “hibernation”. seeing today the new adv campaign of Bottega Veneta ss2012 collection, my heart gamboled and for a moment i sensed the cool breeze of the sea on a melting day of july, i groped for my sunglasses, tasted salt and heared an imperceptible gentle splash of the water near me, that gave me this urge to clap my hands and cheer for artist and photographer Jack Pierson for such a direct, emotionally deep and narrative picture of his work.

humidity and 3 °C make me emotionally vulnerable, don’t mind me.

Pierre Hardy ss2012

During Paris fashion week, I payed my annual visit at Pierre Hardy headquarters to see the new collection of one of my most adorable accessories designers. Neon details, water-snake, killer heels, graphics and the characteristic cube design of monsieur Hardy, who launches, moreover, his first jewelry collection.

Valentino ss2012

if you ask me Valentino presented one the most beautiful collections that i’ve seen so far. An organza delirium with lace, some embroidery and a handful of romanticism created a poetic collection that could be described as an “ode to elegance”.  Maria Grazia Chuiri end  Pier Paolo Piccioli keep doing an amazing job.

Emanuel Ungaro based on its tradition of vivid prints, with bold colour combinations upon aerial photographs on jersey fabrics. i mostly enjoyed the turquoise-red combination.
