Upside Down

Fashion editor, art enthusiast and deco aficionado Michael Pandos, (personal mentor, ex-boss and dearest friend of mine), turned Martinos antique shop upside down!
African masks, paintings, 18th and 19th century ceramics and china, fine Greek embroideries, art deco furniture and rare decorative objects were replaced in an unexpected set up, through the eyes of a person with unique aesthetics and a huge talent in synthesis.

Diesel goes Spring

Diesel welcomed Spring with a jazz party and a live performance by Thomais Apergi, under the creative direction of the highly sophisticated Michael Pandos. In case you didn’t know, Diesel owns a vintage collection of furniture from the 60s and 70s to-make-you-go-red, that were transfered on location especially for the presentation.

The fingerfood by Wagamama was ordered in the hues of the Diesel Summer 2013 collection (how eccentric to match the clothes with what one eats) and as for the drinks the best cocktail on planet earth was served: French 76 was the name of a heavenly made champagne-and-vodka mix, the favorite cocktail that Kate Moss enjoys at The Hemingway bar of Ritz Hotel in Paris -and the one that she later chose for her wedding party. I had three and I’d almost crawl on the floor of the Golden Hall. Loved it.

French 76:

3/4 oz vodka
1 dash grenadine syrup
1 dash sugar syrup
1/4 oz lemon juice
4 oz Champagne

Shake all ingredients (except champagne) well over ice cubes in a shaker. Strain into a champagne flute, fill with champagne, and serve.

weekenders

First excursion in a while.

I was more of a weekender than I could possibly be. My need for a gettaway drove me to the mounts of Arcadia, at Michael Pandos’s country house

-man! does this guy know to make beautiful living spaces.

Below you can see me, mainly lying in various corners of the house and around the village/lake/yard, doing practically nothing. I did pretty good. Before I left the city Thanos Samaras suggested to make my own poncho (as a good fashion editor would do) but, thankfully, Michael had blankets and ponchos in every couch or chair possible and spared me some time and effort.

Definitely one of the best nights of Christmas holidays till now:

Dinner chez monsieur Pandos was a combination of ingenuous elegance, great food, outrageous late

night tales and hysterical laughs. I had missed that.

Fashion Director of Vogue Hellas Michael Pandos, in coordination with George C.Carabellas, owner of TR2 concept boutique, curated the creation of a capsule collection by five Greek designers. The result is a limited edition of unisex pieces (in consumer-fiendly prices), with the signature of some of the best names in greek fashion (Sotiris Georgiou, Dimitris Petrou, Katerina Psoma, Stathis Samantas and Chris P.), and it was presented yesterday at TR2 The Kolonaki edition, in another “Dolce Far Niente” Wednesday.

From that trip to Istanbul, came out a magnificent story for Vogue Hellas December issue, starring top model Heather Marks. I’m a fool for backstage.
