Riccardo Tisci introduces printed paisley motifs, across a variety of Givenchy’s men’s clothes and accessories. A bold version contrasts white and green whilst another appears in vintage army aircrafts intertwined in coloured kakhi paisley.
The name of the artwork given with the invitation of Givenchy fashion show is “Sirene” and was designed by M/M Paris (2011), in a limited edition of 1000 copies. The world of water has been the inspiration of Riccardo Tisci for next summer, showing some beautifully tailored sexy clothes and gigantic shark-teeth hanging around the neck. The show opened with Natalia Vodianova and ended with Gisele Bunchen. very few photos, battery went to sleep.
T-shirts have been a constant fixture in all Riccardo Tisci’s collections for Givenchy, reworking that icon of the men’s wardrobe and modern street culture every season since.
Today a special edition of 3 t-shirts captures the mood and inspiration of the fall/winter season:
-Stars & stripes: a re-interpreted version of the American flag painted vertically in red and white in triple print layer technique with inserted Rottweiler dog face
– Scarf Print : twisting the classic square ‘silk scarf’ print reworked in a gothic style using elements of chains, white stars, bones and growling dogs printed in a multi-layer screen print
– Rottweiler’s photographic face: featuring the main print of the Fall/Winter season, the face of a Rottweiler in a photographic technique.
