Paris fashion week: Stella McCartney ss2011

from the white men-type suits that appeared first on the show till the sporty clingy dresses that were the final looks, Stella McCartney’s aim was all about sexiness. and mesh.
breath taking location, pretty clothes, gorgeous models and -pity!-no concept music.

Sonia Rykiel Spring/Summer 2012

for April Crichton, the new creative director, who designed alongside Nathalie Rykiel the first Sonia Rykiel collection, yellow is the color of next spring, in a 20’s context. Models walked down the vibrant yellow catwalk while Queen were singing the “Bicycle Race”. Low waisted skirts and tight little sweaters, pleats and crepe-de-chine. Our beloved Rosanna Georgiou appeared second on the catwalk and i almost cheered!

at Viktor & Rolf ss2012 runway

yesterday after waiting 45 minutes under the burning sun (Paris lives a miracolo of 27 °C in the beginning of October!) we finally got into the Viktor & Rolf show. and if Anna in a Valentino lace dress doesn’t mind the heat, neither do i.

Paris Fashion Week- Lanvin

if you remember my small adventure from the previous time i came to Paris fashion week, well, history tends to repeat itself so once again Lanvin show was straight after Margiela show, which was 40 minutes delayed. Add a traffic jam and 25 minutes waiting at the same point of the street looking at each other in the shuttle makes a ‘mad me’ arriving at Lanvin by the time the show had started. no seats, no light to find your way to the stairs, all sweating and stressed.

lousy pictures. i promised myself next time i’ll be there an hour earlier no matter what because you really don’t want to see Freja Beha rocking the catwalk in some of the season’s greatest creations from the eighth fucking row.

Paris fashion week- Maison Martin Margiela

my beloved fashion junkies, i arrived in Paris today for the fashion week and i’m already exhausted by the frenzy crowd, the rudeness of the fashionistas and above all by the luggage i had to carry from athens because two pairs of shoes just don’t do it for me. without further info i present you what i saw at Margiela show- Lanvin and more to follow soon because now i have to catch my breath and drink some water before i die over the keyboard.

Rosanna

i’m always very excited to see young greek faces walking down the catwalk of fame. Sweet Rosanna, the beautiful 16 year old girl i worked with, together with photographer Christos Karantzolas, was just about to start her modeling career back in October. four months later and Ros is one of the very promising new faces of the industry: during Paris fashion week she walked, amongst others, for Celine, Sonia Rykiel and Dries Van Noten!

Go Ros Go!

Azzaro SS2011 presentation

in an old store fully covered with mirrors, the summer collection of Azzaro was presented and it couldn’t match better with the place and the 70’s french soundtrack that surrounded the presentation.

Alexander McQueen: The Finale

paris fashion week was above all stigmatized by the private small presentation Alexander McQueen’s working team decided to throw, a show for a limited group of people, editors and friends, with the 16 outfits the designer was preparing and that were almost finished by the time of his death. Medieval and religion references but in a romantic/gothic way, perfectly tailored handcrafted creations spurting tranquility in every way, shoes wreathed in gilded roses, golden mohawks and a couture essence and quality which had always been his signature.
