Milan hardly ever disappoints me, i know the city too well not to enjoy myself while being there and though fashion week was not as astonishing as i ‘d prefer it to be, it hid surprises and had a few worth saying highlights that gave the worldwide fashionistas what they were craving for: some very nice show productions, excellent tailored collections, originality, clothes purposed to focus on the feminine body.

Marni had one of the most interesting collections and made a turn from ethnic to metropolitan elegancy, wearable outfits for astonishing city looks

In Roberto Cavalli animal prints dominated -and keep note on that because for next winter leopard will be season’s hit

i’d put it down in two words for Prada: Futuristic Retro. Elegant clothes, an hymn to femininity with a whole collection emphasizing the female body and especially the female breast. In addition, Prada innovated in textures once more by using a pioneer fabric called cirè which looks like vinyl but has this special treatment that allows the skin to breath..

i also enjoyed Bottega Veneta’s dusty pink and ruby evening dresses Mr. Maier showed at the end of the show, like flashes of optimism, brightness and vividness in winter.. made me smile.

the most sentimental show from all aspects, however, was Dolce & Gabbana. The whole aesthetic was like a general undefined farewell, with a very nostalgic, touching music edit that put tears in the audience’s eyes. Feminine, sexy clothes, leopard-prints, polka dots,chic small jewels, glittery pumps and lots of red color- we were moved by it all

Bally presented the winter collection in Palazzo Durini, with some precious leather goodies that stole the attention-those two though were my favorites

In Milan literally e-v-e-r-y-body was wearing one -and in some cases more than one!- particular watch, which was a best-seller available in so many different colors- of course i got mine in violet purple ♥

And another watch: this blue Swatch was the invitation and the coveted Pass to Italian’s Vogue fashion party. You have it? you’re in..

And during all this fashion frenzy we were lucky enough to watch Schiele’s exhibition at Palazzo Reale. The perfect ending i’d say.
