Olive tree is gold and it is treated as such.
My beloved greek beauty brand Korres launched the “Pure Greek Olive” series, with main component taken from the cretan bio olive groves. A box of shower gels, body oils, cremes, scrubs and traditional soap bars arrived at my doorstep the other day, that when opened, filled my house with the perfumes of greek countryside:
verbena, bergamot, honey, cedar and olive blossom where tested and approved during the past couple of weeks.
Personal pick? Olive blossom duuuh!
When Greeks join forces
Parthenis and Korres, two brand names that have become something of an ambassador for Greece with their work all those years, have joined forces for a limited edition travel bag, which includes the iconic Parthenis beach towel
-I bought a couple of them 10 years ago and still look and feel like new-
and all the necessary travel size Korres products.

20 years after the launch of one of the best seller products in its history, Korres presents a limited edition of a magnificent beauty elixir: An advanced Wild Rose facial oil with rose petals, a formula that nourishes and brightens the skin, due to its Super C vitamin that is absorbed by the skin 1000%.
To celebrate this anniversary Korres printed a beautiful poetic book with photographs inspired by roses, based on the artistic direction of Stavros Papagiannis.

Latest make up obsession: earthy colours. On the eyes, the lips, the nails.
Korres launched The Statement Eye Series of four eyeshadow palettes with black volcanic minerals (that provide an intense colour effect) including frost, shimmering and matte textures and grading from Warm Nudes for a natural look to Ultimate Black for a smokey eyes look. The last touch is given by Black Volcanic Minerals/Professional Length mascara which lengthens the eyelashes 1,5 times.
Complimenting the earthy palettes, Korres nail colours are inspired by nature and the alternation during winter: Chocolate Brown, Blackened Green, Berry Rose and Warm Khaki are four out of seven new hues for winter. (If you ask me gloomy colours is an option throughout the year).
Black has also been the inspiration for the latest Eau de Toilettes of the brand: Black Sugar/Oriental Lily/Violet for her has the signature of black sugar with oriental notes like Lily and Vanilla, while Black Pepper/Cashmere/Lemonwood for him is a masculine scent with a woody, earthy effect.

So many lipstick options, so little time.
Korres announced the Morello collection, a series of buttery lipsticks in ten yummy hues from pale pink to burgundy red, one for every occasion to escort your most festive moments. Nude pink? You got it.
Red hot chili red? Straight away. Royal burgundy? You name it!
And most importantly, the Morello lipstick is a stable lipstick with soft, moisturizing texture with intense colour, providing antioxidant protection with Guava extract, source of vitamin C.

As you we enter day by day the summer makeup continuum, the truth is that there is a narrow window of success. Somewhere in the middle between a light make up that melts away after 30 minutes and a heavy one with powders that turn into mud,
is the goal—makeup that stays luminous and natural, as it should be. During our annual -and very refreshing indeed- appointment with Korres we explored the new formulas that will help us pull through the summer.
First of all, two of their best sellers, the facial sunscreens with yogurt and grape are renewed and now you can find their tinted version that apart from sun protection they offer a nicely sunkissed effect, moisturized and dewy.
Then you have “the Sea Flowers” bronzer contained in a very 80s compact design awash with pink, terracotta and shimmering white that looks like you’ve stolen it from your mom’s drawer -and you’re five again. That bronzer you can use both as a blush and a contouring essential, a product to replace many.
For those who their divine french perfume suddenly seems unbearable under the scorching greek sun, Korres launched a series of body splashes -Mango Candy, Apple Blossom, Coconut Sand, Summer Wood, you name it. I opted for Pure Cotton which smells like fresh crisp seeds.
Last but not least, to the nail colours collection were added the “Sea Flowers” in vivid hues.

A collection of nine instant beauty shots for face and eyes with natural active ingredients by Korres (cleansing, moisturizing, firming), that I would willingly eat (and use the leftovers).
Spot the sparkle
Well this is something I will be definitely holding close throughout the winter.
