Photographer Matthew Brandt’s latest project plays with decay and degradation. After having photographed for years various lakes of USA’s West coast with traditional films and utilizing different types of photographic prints, the artist soaked the pictures for days and even months in containers filled with the specific water from the lake that each photo depicts, thus causing spectacular chromatics alternations and showcasing not only the lake’s image, but also a part of its physicality.
