Paris Fashion Week- Lanvin

if you remember my small adventure from the previous time i came to Paris fashion week, well, history tends to repeat itself so once again Lanvin show was straight after Margiela show, which was 40 minutes delayed. Add a traffic jam and 25 minutes waiting at the same point of the street looking at each other in the shuttle makes a ‘mad me’ arriving at Lanvin by the time the show had started. no seats, no light to find your way to the stairs, all sweating and stressed.

lousy pictures. i promised myself next time i’ll be there an hour earlier no matter what because you really don’t want to see Freja Beha rocking the catwalk in some of the season’s greatest creations from the eighth fucking row.

shine

Miu Miu launches its new Sneakers, a brand new addition to the Miu Miu Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, decorated with glitter, metal tips, or appliquéd crystals. Looks like the kind of sneakers i would wear.

In need of heavier embroidery? check the crystal dresses of Dolce & Gabbana for the summer, you can’t find anything more precious than that. And definitely nothing that weighs more.

grace

there are not enough words to describe the breathless beauty of the immense gardens where we shot our latest Vogue Hellas story, an hymn to the elegance and grace of the woman that lives “la vie de chateau”.

gourmet

last night we Tasted the Fashion, because sometimes fashion is eatable for a good purpose. Taste the Fashion was a charity fashion dinner that took place at Hilton Hotel. Menu was cooked by three top chefs combined with a trunk show of three great greek designers. why? for Hamogelo, the non governmental organization that does an amazingly good job for children all those years and is in real need of funds.

Sophia Kokosalaki, DeuxHommes and Mi-Ro were the participants and here is a looooong post of backstage pictures. Enjoy!

orange

what goes better with a Prada african-oriented printed dancer? well a pair of neon-orange Giambattista Valli sandals, one of the most beautiful flats of summer 2011

soccer in-vogue

famous football player Djibril Cisse  was the absolute star at the latest fashion story of Vogue Hellas  May issue and impressed the whole shooting crew with his professionalism and low profile attitude, despite the alteration between six- seven locations, the working hours  and the dozens of fans that approached him for a picture and an autograph.

Eros/Θeros

Dimitris Petrou had a concept behind his summer collection and it was about the easy days of late August, about love and harvest, sunkissed faces and innocent thoughts. the most complete and even collection of the designer so far, with fine fabrics, sophisticated accessories and details.

inspiration/information

this is what i’m all about the last month, sleeping and waking up with south pacific islands on my mind. you could say it’s work and pleasure at the same time.

Prada woven leather shoes and the butterfly sunglasses, Katerina Psoma exotic jewelry, tropical flowers and the “Hula” book by Taschen, all spread on my new (old) vintage formica dinning table.

pale

this is the new color palette i intend to give to my wardrobe, i made a start with a soft-like-a-cloud silk drape Jasmine di Milo throw-over in a lingerie way, and moved on with some real lingerie, a series of silk Stella McCartney braws matching the jacket and my new mood. none of it goes with the blackness that dominates my winter closet but it’s a good start
