Homemade cheesecake, I’m very good at it/ a tree leaf masqueraded in red lips/ Asos cut out boots/ making a delish spicy Chili Jam cocktail at TGI FRiday’s “Mixology Lab” with Havana Club/ old Athenian architecture/ with the help of God the sun works better than led lights
My ideal outfit for a Christmas party consists of a fine tuxedo suit -with cropped pants, if possible- and a silk white shirt. Statement shoes are more than necessary. Τhis is my selection from a small place of wonders called Eponymo store at Mcarthurglen Athens. The well hidden romantic part of mine would go for the black delicate dress. As you well guessed a masculine tux and an ethereal silk frock are both parts of my split personality.
White silk shirt and black tuxedo suit jacket Alberta Ferretti. Black pants Paolo Petrone. Black chiffon dress Alberta Ferretti. Black peep toes Blumarine. Patent leather booties John Galliano.
Extra info for mommies, aunts and godmothers: Mcarthurglen runs a Creative Workshop for children until the 31st of December -all in all a good chance to combine your Christmas shopping with children activity.
A walk at McArthurGlen Athens is never disappointing. I came across Carlo Pazolini shop where I found dozens of ultra elegant brogues and masculine mid-heel shoes that looked great with a Pierre Balmain double breasted jacket I saw later at Alberta Ferretti. Note to reader: At Alberta Ferretti you can also find incredible stuff of other fashion houses such as Dsquared2, John Galliano, Red Valentino and more. I’m making my Christmas wish list and shoes has always been my starting point. Now I can delightfully add a Dsquared2 gown and that gorgeous Pierre Balmain jacket.
If you’re planning to pay a visit at McArthurGlen keep in mind the big celebration on Friday November 15th, when the Christmas tree will be lit!
From left to right: Booties and brogues at Carlo Pazolini. Pierre Balmain jacket, Dsquared2 wallet, Malo pumps, Dsquared2 black & white gown and crystal bracelet, Alberta Ferretti beaded tulle dress, all at Alberta Ferretti shop.
So that’s what’s new these days.
I’ll go pink for the winter (God forgive me) with a wool boyfriend coat from Marks&Spencer new collection, that hits the store of Ermou street on Thursday 26th. It’s oversized and I love it for that. In the same collection named “Britain’s Leading Ladies”, I found a pair of leopard wedge booties, not very high/not too low. Soon to be mine, as well. For those who like it punked, a great part of the new Marks&Spencer line consists of leather jackets, tartan fabrics, leather skinny pants and british inspired motifs.
Moreover, I tried the new Ibuki skincare of the incomparable Shiseido. The name of it means “Fresh breath” and that is a promise made. The facial foam is the best I’ve ever tried, I swear. New obsessions: Shiseido lipstick PK303, Essie nail polish “For the twill of it”.
This post is about a dress that gave me the chills when I first slipped in it and caresses my skin like the touch of an angel’s kiss. I can only talk about it with words of the heart and praise its beauty to eternity, for I have found love.
Stella McCartney dress, L.A.M.B sandals, vintage ant necklace.
Apart from the “Style Secrets” at Votre Beaute magazine, August 2013, you can find in the same issue my Top 10 Accessories for F/W 2013-14 (and some good reasons why to invest in them), plus a spread regarding the Punk frenzy that has been taking catwalks by storm.

I had been waiting too long for the time to arrive that this gorgeous Stella McCartney jumpsuit would come out of my closet. Especially bought a few months ago for my best friend’s wedding in Rome, this silk satin dream with cut-outs decorated with tiny oranges in baby blue color was created for me from the very beginning, although Stella ignores the trivia.
Pared with my Jil Sander sling-backs and sprinkled with some crystal-cluttering, when I slip in it I insistently refuse to take it of.
It’s that time of the year again, when I leave the dull color palette of my wardrobe behind and I make some attempts for vivid prints (blame it on April). The floral shirt is American Retro from Simple Caractere stores and that vibrant red you see on the lips is the result of Giorgio Armani Maestro lipstick, finished with the newest product of senior Armani, the Flash Lacquer lip gloss, which is non-sticky and stays between your lips -and won’t travel towards your nostrils, let’s say.
The pale pink snakeskin Gianvito Rossi pumps and the Juicy Couture bird ring is from the “Value for Style” event of Factory Outlet, where, admittedly, we found gorgeous pieces in unbelievable prices. The heart shaped street art is some romantic’s soul attempt to beautify the ugly graffitis of downtown Athens and the rest is just homemade garniture.
The new “Cranberry” lipstick by Amway, together with a piece of chocolate from Fresh that once had my name on, the Summer 2013 fuchsia Valentino sling-backs, the book I currently read which is Michel Houellebecq’s “The Platform”, my Jil Sander dream-come-true from Raf Simon’s very last collection for the house, the entire color palette of Korres summer nail polish , a long-desired collectible vinyl of my truest love, aka Arthur Russell from 1986 that I got from Discogs and the very new Nike Air Max that arrived in my mailbox,
Following the first post of my visit at Lanvin headquarters, here comes the second part that includes almost all the accessories from the Lanvin Summer 2013 collection. Python pumps in metallics, gorgeous shoulder bags and tiny minaudieres and the famous Lanvin crystal jewels. Knock yourselves out.
I was recently asked by missbloom.gr, among other girls, to present my Christmas essentials. Since my wardrobe palette is rather boring with lots of blacks and blues, I usually add some color with my accessories, mainly shoes and jewelry. Pointy shoes, crystals and some luxury goodies like my Serge Lutens perfume or a good facial day creme is what got on my list.
I now take it a step further and make a xmas wish list.
This Stella McCartney light blue shirt dress is on top of my wish list, together with a pair of Jil Sander color-block sling backs, that I instantly fell in love with when we first met in March at Raf Simon’s very last fashion show for the house.
I love luxury paper. I keep collecting personal stationary since the age of 6. I also love birds. Can I ask Santa for this Bird Box by Bernard Maisner?
It includes post cards and statement cards with hand painted exotic birds *sigh* by Mr. Maisner himself.
Shourouk crystal necklace.
The finest make up of them all, Giorgio Armani’s Maestro miracle.
And a man pouch -I often prefer men’s clothes and accessories- from Lanvin.
And maybe for the new year I’ll try something new: Not Another Bill promises a gift every month in my mailbox!
