DeuxHommes x Bettina

Bettina continues the celebrational collaborations for its 50 years anniversary, joining forces with greek designer duo -and one of my personal favourite- DeuxHommes, who created for this matter a capsule collection inspired by iconinc pieces of their career. Available from this Saturday at Bettina shop – and they’re all one-off so don’t think twice.

Lo Spirito Vola

Gucci Museo announced “Paul Fryer: Lo Spirito Vola” as the second contemporary art exhibition of works, on loan from the François Pinault Collection. Curated by Francesca Amfitheatrof, the exhibition presents three of Paul Fryer’s iconoclastic art works on the transcendent, morality and religion: the major sculptural works Ophelia, Pietà (the Empire Never Ended) and Ecce Homo.

H Πόλις

I shared this two years ago on World Poetry day -today i’m all about the following:

Random

Photographer Mara Desypris presents “Random”, her first retrospective exhibition, in collaboration with Ozon Raw and curated by Filep Motwary, with photos chosen from her book “Self-portrait”. All photos are retouch-free and taken with analogue camera, which i  can confirm, since the picture above was taken during a warm spring sunset, in the early years of my working at Vogue back in 200idontremember, with fashion editor Michael Pandos.

radical simplicity

Christophe Lemaire’s foray on thecorner.com is crowned by the “Radical Simplicity” capsule collection for men and women, which consists of six essential, convertible and modular garments in black and white, conceived to be mixed-and-matched in countless combinations: two spring summer 2012 shapes in exclusive fabrics as well as four signature pieces in cotton crepe, as light as a breeze.

A well-proportioned garment, in the right fabric, with the right cut and not too ‘fashion’ doesn’t need to be redesigned every season, but the puzzle around it should simply be reinvented to make it more exciting: it is a question of common sense and I have a feeling that we are finally getting back to it” says Christophe Lemaire.
