celebration tee

today, among all those things i had to do at work, our picture (mine and my colleagues’ fash.dept. girls) was taken wearing Vogue Hellas’s anniversary t-shirt: Vogue Hellas is celebrating its 10 years and marking this special occasion with an issue quite different from what you’ve seen so far. i’m anxious and also curious to see it out, not only because i worked so hard for it the last few months (all of us-and i’m very relieved that it’s ready at last) but also because some very talented people and dear friends of mine are featured in it (sorpresa).
the tee is cute, simple and collectable, available with March celebration issue- it doesn’t show very clearly here but you get an idea.

however, my please-make-me-yours Lanvin pumps steal the attention: snakeskin & chains & in color nude. gawd!

Clouddead

The first thing that really pierced my head was their vocals. Its all about three guys who all have solo works but i guess they felt right when they thought about joining forces. Their sound is really hard to define; allthough they stated “just call it hip-hop” you can undoubtedly spot elements of ambient, psychedelic music and experimental electronica and of course all these covered with weirdly synchronised,complexed vocals.

Doseone,WHY? and Odd Nosdam have released 2 albums and several EPs stating that they have finished making music but in 2009 they came back in action releasing another single. Anticon is the label and here is a hint: dont hurry to jump to conclusions,let it like you first before you do.

wandering in paris

Last night The XX gave a concert at Cigale a theater in the heart of Montmartre but the bitter truth about this city is that as soon as you grasp the news for something ALL tickets are gone. We decide anyway, my love (antonis) and I, to risk our way over there and see if we find some last minute luck but not! After some laughs over the adventurous and unfortunate bargain for any “black market” chance, we head some trains away to another concert spot called Flèche d’Or that’s something between live-club-bar where we first watched Chad Van Gaalen (wooonderfulness). What I love about this place is that it’s a former railway station that has kept the style and the essence since it still flows above the rails…

…the view of which you are not deprived.

Two fine bands, a french one named Success, that turned out reeeeally fun with a frontman hard to describe and a british band nothing-we-never-heard-before…but the bottom line is that at fucking Paris you never get bored! Good times.

Ps. Tonight we watched “I love you Phillip Morris” dealing with an amazing true gay love story, where I instantly fell in love with this song:

Saint what??

What a day I say..finally the sun appears over the frozen view, everything seems right – besides a friend from london that visited yesterday and kept throwing up all night..but even him looks better (hope well john!!!). Between my ignorance and my innocence I approach the radio, already turned on fip my fav station and I hardly hear a familiar sound of something like a church hymn, begin to get the chills and recognize it’s “Lover, you should’ve come over” by Jeff Buckley.

I immediately jump over (spill some hot coffee on me) and turn the volume as high as it gets. I start shouting the lyrics more than singing, almost seven minutes of hysteric tribute (I can become reeeally ridiculous with this dead bastard) and at the end of the song as a wake up call, a sweet warm woman’s voice behind the mic says two words like “Jeff Buckley singing for LOVE”..I am “yesss”..and she continues “for Saint-Valentine’s day”…WHAT? SAY WHAT? SAINT WHAT?
Then realized what day it was..Ruined everything.
